However, some of them have not read the right books, such as; Smart Marketing. Some of them still do not understand what marketing truly is and it is hard to be a good practitioner of Smart marketing if you really do not know what Smart marketing is.

Well, Smart marketing is a coined phrase by a gentleman who writes marketing books and has over 20 years experience helping small businesses and large businesses with their marketing. What do we learn from someone with this level of experience? Well, obviously he has watched businesses do things the hard way and fail. And when you do this enough times you find out what does not work and what does work.
Perhaps you as a small-business person have discovered a couple of ways your self, which does not work for marketing your particular product or service in your market. Well, imagine someone who has learned 100 ways, which will not work and 100 of the best ways, which generally work and 100 ways, which nearly always work.
Imagine a Smart marketing book, which would talk about these things and concentrate on the tips of the hundred ways, which do work and further refine the best and worst to help you best understand Smart marketing. That is how I see Smart marketing and the coining of the phrase that it represents.
